SheTree was created when I was in my early 20’s, when the beauty industry broke my heart for the last time. I never seemed to experience the benefits they promised, no matter how many of my hard earned little dollars I spent. Soon, I would discover the tragic consequences the Planet endured to stock the stores with endless plastic bottles of unethical, synthetic formulas.

So I set the intention to learn how to make my own moisturizer. The whole project unfolded with ease and beauty and I wondered why more people didn’t seem to feel the way I did about self care and beauty products. As time went on, I learned they did. Like me, they had assumed that they hadn’t found the right product, that if they just keep buying they'll eventually find something, and that their skin must be the unique problematic variable.

Equipped with a heart full of intention, a mind full of curiosity and an ever improving recipe list, I set out on an educational quest into the Natural and Botanical world that remains a great passion of mine to this day.

Today, developing SheTree as a product line has positively inspired every facet of my life. I use the wax from the bees I care for. The medicinal herbs in my healing creams are either grown in my garden, or carefully harvested from the wild with respect for the land. I am always learning new things about natural medicine. The best part for me now is watching my daughter grow up with plant wisdom and a great relationship with the Natural world.

My aim while designing this sensual experience was to create a scent that was fresh and friendly and conjured an actual spontaneous smile.

The smell is sweet with citrus fruits and refined with juniper berry, with a nearly unnoticeable hint of banana that gives just enough to light you up. It is subtle but present like a soft breeze that makes everyone around a little easier. Like a grown up version of childhood joy.

Ingredient information and product care

-lotions made with a base of almond oil and vegetable or bees wax. Avoid with severe topical almond or honey allergies

-zero chemical are used to preserve these babies because ew. I use vitamin E, who’s benefits are antioxidant and thus help to slow down oxidation. Isnt that cool!

-sits well on the counter for about 6 to 9 months. Please refrigerate if you dont plan to use it for a while to preserve it

-please recycle jars. I accept and reuse empty jars

-side effects of use include euphoria, clear mindedness, uplifted mood and happy skin. Giving these as gifts amplifies these effects.

"I wanted to give you a quick review of the beard balm. I waited for after my beard trim to give this.   Since Saturday my beard has never felt softer and I have used many different brands.  The pleasant aroma last for a few hours after applying which is wonderful.  I don't use very much and yet every morning I wake up it is still feeling good and moisturised, not dry as it would be before.  After applying it, managing and shaping is easy.  There quite a lot of volume which I like.  And throughout the day whenever I touch my beard, it is not greasy.   The first day, it was hard to get out of the tin, but once I made an indent it's easier to remove.  That's how most of them are except the one made at Beardsguard (my old barber) where it seemed they whipped the final product.
