Go love yourself.

Living in a healthy body requires that we treat it with healthy thoughts, food and actions. Self love is the number one component to my approach for helping those who wish to feel better.

Elevating our health comes through observing healthy practices every day, much of which is guided by our bodies intuitive intelligence. However, the standard of living has confused the majority of people, and thus, we are separate from that intuitive intelligence.

Many of my clients come to me because they have grown accustomed to living in ways that facilitate disconnection from healthy movement, right eating, and loving self-talk. This can lead to an overwhelming confusion when trying to get on track, often starting at a gym, which can lead to injury, discouragement or new unhealthy patterns. Furthermore, this overwhelm can keep an individual from even getting started.

Working closely with Lisa will offer you a complete sense of health in mind, body and spirit. She will help you define your goals, perform exercises safely, create well-designed, effective workout plans that focus on your personal constitution, as well as find ways to stay engaged with the health of your body through freedom of the mind. Fitness should be founded upon balance and harmony that includes both enjoyable activity and positive self image.

Lisa Marie Trunkenbolz

NASM-CPT/CES/WLS, AYTT, Reiki Master Practitioner

I am so happy that our paths have crossed. I am so grateful to be doing what I am most passionate about and here you can learn about what I do.

I am a Functional Fitness and Holistic Wellness Professional. I am a NASM certified CPT, CES, WLS. I specialize in Corrective Movement Medicine, Holistic Weight-loss education, as well as Energetic and bodywork therapy for integrated whole-self wellness. I am also an Advanced Yoga Teacher Trainer and experienced intuitive healer, which is an essential and practical part of the completeness of my offering as a professional. My professional life consists of working with my team at Bloom Yoga Center to create a supoortive and fun place for community classes, and in constant development of my private services.

My approach to fitness is a 3 part life style integration that is sustainable, holistic, and practical. These three essential areas of focus for myself and my clients include an exercise regimen that is appropriate for the individuals body, self care, and holistic nutrition education. Read below to learn about my approach.

Exercise

-corrective movement therapy

-functional fitness training

-weight loss/management

-strength/balance/flexibility

-physical longevity

-accountability

Whether you have a passion for playing sports, need to rehabilitate an injury or chronic pain in the body, or simply want to experience overall physical wellbeing and fitness, I offer programs that are tailored with care to the current and changing needs of your body.

My clients receive the highest levels of attention and care through my designed programs and during our one one one sessions. You can expect to sweat, be challenged, change and improve and feel generally great as we work to strengthen and heal the body through movement.

Self-care

-positive body image/mind health

-massage and reiki

-lymphatic health massage

-meditation and breathwork

-assisted stretching

-at-home exercise programs

I believe that a regular self-care regimen is a must, and should include hands on healing from a skilled and intuitive professional who is sensitive and experienced in working with the physical and energetic bodies. It is proven, and practically available through immediate experience that the nervous system works as a bridge between our subtle body (emotional/vibrational state of well-being) and our physiological and skeletal systems (muscles, brain, heart, etc). Maintaining the health of our energetic state through soothing the nervous system is a vital part of feeling great. And when we feel great, this reflects itself further onto our lives. Having a physical practice simply isn’t enough when we are on the path to raise our experience in our bodies.

Within the program of physical and nutrition coaching my clients will also receive regular body work included guided self-myofacial release, assisted stretching, and various forms of massage and muscle release therapy. Upon a mutual decision, energy healing and reiki is also implemented into the program. Learn more about Energy Work here.

Clients will be encouraged to commit to 6 week programs, with the continuation of subsequent programs re-designed to support the continued growth and readjusted goals. The journey of self-improvement never ends. Many of my clients have worked with me consistently over the course of years, seeking adaptations, education, and accountability. Other options are available to accommodate their financial or goal-oriented needs.

Holistic Nutrition

-current diet analysis

-whole food nutrition guidance

-natural herbal medicine

-behavior and habit change support

-weight management

This third and very important part of my approach includes my greatest passion and that is food as an integrated and joyful part of well-being. I began my journey as a nutritionist under the western study of calorie management and the phrase “abs are made in the kitchen”. As my profession and my life choices guided me deeper into overall well-being as a feel good practice, I found myself growing closer to ancient and eastern nutritional practices and ethics.

This is a co-creative process between myself and the client where the individual needs of the client are discovered and remedied with natural herbs, carefully selected and sometimes dried by me and taken home by the client. You can expect an educational journey that will help to empower the individual in their wellness journey. A diet that is comprised of processed foods will require a detox and normalizing of the palette to relearn flavor and foods, which will reduce “cravings” for processed (sweet/salty) foods, which will make your relationship with food more enjoyable and wholesome.

The experience of food should be enjoyable. My coaching includes on going education about natural medicine through food and herbs, and wellness found through an educated and healthy relationship with food. I feel close to the task of helping others to remember the innate intelligence of their bodies, versus the confusion our bodies undergo when regularly fed packaged and processed food. I offer an emphasis on gut health, and deep body healing through reigniting the passion and understanding of whole foods.

Let’s get started

If this sounds like it would benefit your life lets take the next step. Since we will be spending so much time together and, lets face it, some of it will be hard work, it is important that we fit well together. You can contact me anytime to set up a Discovery Session which includes a movement analysis where I gather information from and about you through discussion and observation. This is where you can ask me questions as well. Call or text 630/412/0220.

A bit about me personally…

I have been a health and fitness fanatic for as long as I can remember, and have been a personal trainer since 2004, with experience with running my own personal training business since 2010, With each phase of my life I have been fascinated with my own ability to train my body to perform better, as well as using fitness and activity to maintain good emotional and physical health. The fascination for fitness continued to grow as I reached 30 in 2014, which is the same year I opened the personal training and yoga studios at Bloom, and discovered how vital personal fitness has been in keeping me young both physically and mentally. I found my journey in personal training as a career when I had been working as an EMT, hoping to work for a fire department. In pursuit of a part-time income while transitioning from school to career, I chose a simple personal training certification, and began to train fire fighters and others in the meantime, on a private session basis. It was during this time that I discovered my real passion and ability, and pursued certifications with the best Yoga and fitness professional certification organization in the US. I acquired deep knowledge and understanding for the body and what it needs to transform safely and effectively, and found a joy in personally tailoring wellness plans for each individual and their needs. Since then, I have fallen in love with what I do everyday, and make it part of my life, inspite of my job.

Today I am a mom first. She is my world and I am so grateful that my vessel has the ability to keep up with my daughter.

In May of 2019 I was in a serious car accident and broke bones in my neck. I was in serious pain and lost use in the left side of my arm and torso. After the initial resting phase, I was excited to put all of my knowledge to the test. Through the systematic approach I use in movement as medicine, and with the vital daily energy healing and food and herbal nourishment, I was able to heal quickly, regained all movement and today enjoy a body that is actually more healthy and fit, with no lingering side-effects of my accident. I offer this as a testament to all who really wish to feel great and make the most of life.

Intuitive Energetic Field Work is a very important part of the process I offer. Please click the button at the bottom of this page to read about this service.
